I feel so honored to have been given the opportunity to be one of the creators for Jamie and Benny's wedding. I enjoyed all the labor that was poured into each project, including the invitations. The two of them requested an invitation that would be unique, colorful, have hints of indian inspired patterns, and presented in the form of a book. And this was the end product!
We chose to do all the printing on Benny's Canon inkjet printer. I was amazed with the quality of the printing, as were many of the guests who thought I had hand painted each invitation! After all the pages had been printed and trimmed I ran the paper through the sewing machine to bind the book together. Each invitation was then stuffed in a vellum envelope and tied with bakers twine.
More handmade details to come!
Jessie, I am swooning over all these handmade details from the wedding! I adore your watercolor illustrations, and the colors together are perfection. And those tote bags! And the books for each table! I can only imagine how delighted and impressed the guests were. Exquisite work all around!
